Coping with the Stress of the Pandemic and More

This global pandemic has created stressful situations in every area of life. Our church is blessed to have within our family those who can help with stressful challenges:

Janelle Butler, MEd., LPC-A/ Life Coach

My commitment is to create a safe space for clients to feel comfortable to share their story. Ultimately, clients often have the answers within, and through our work together I can help you uncover what was there all along. Therapy is not like a dry erase board where problems can be wiped away, but it can help you recognize opportunities to attain the tools necessary to COPE…Climb Over Problems Everyday.

I have been working with adolescents and families since 2001 in the community and school setting. My therapeutic approach and training is centered around, but not limited to, Trauma Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Transtheoretical Model, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Interventions. Therapy is not a one size fits all process. I am here to tailor your experience to a fit that will suit your needs.

I’m a *wife, mother of two amazingly different children, a school counselor, and a baker. I’ve always been drawn to helping people and bringing joy to their life as I am strengthened by whatever I am able to impart on others. I look forward to helping you discover your own means to COPE. Contact:

*Mrs. Butler is the wife of Reverend Charlie “CJ” Butler, Pastor of Cedar Creek Community Church, Columbia, SC.

During this time of COVID-19 there are things we only whisper and sometimes we’re afraid to mention at all: the emotional toll of deaths; the guilt about our feelings of fear and anger; concerns about our mental and physical health; the need to carve out space and time for ourselves — especially with family members present more and each wanting a greater share of our attention.

Ms. Mack is a mother and grandmother and a warrior for those, like herself, living with Lupus. She is a member of Bull Swamp Baptist Church and actively involved in several ministries.
